Helping your soon-to-be Graduate

As we start the process of prepping our students (your kids) for life after high school we will be sharing deadlines, updates, reminders and ways to support your child as they navigate their way through their final year of high school.

1. Today, Oct 29, we met with our grade 12s to review their transcripts with them.  A transcript is an official document which outlines their course work, marks and credits received thus far.  During the meeting students checked and reviewed their transcript, made any necessary changes and submitted them back to their counseller.  Coming home with them tonight are two documents.

  • The first document is a copy of instructions which you can use to review their transcript with them.  Transcripts can be accessed using their MyEducation account.
  • The second document has information about scholarships (yeah, free money!!!) and the mandatory steps needed to order the release of their transcript to post secondary institutions.  All post secondary programs and institutions require access to transcripts in order to process an application.    A copy of these documents can be found here  Transcript Checklist and Transcript Ordering.pdf

If your child missed the meeting today they can see their counsellor tomorrow during flex for instructions and assistance.  If your child is off campus, taking a program or course as a part of the UFV trades program, don't worry, we got you.  Mr Gill will be by to visit your child on site to walk them through the process.  As always if you have any questions, please contact your child's counsellor.
