About the Golden Jubilee Mouat Hawk Shield
The hawk shield made its first appearance in 1977 and was created by Candance Hunter (Grad 1977). It was designed by Mouat’s first students and appeared on their graduation yearbook. Questons about our celebration can be directed via Email wjmgoldenjubilee@gmail.com
From 1983 to 1991, this hawk shield appeared on the grad composites, which are now in an upstairs hallway that leads to the science wing.
The Golden Jubilee Hawk Shield was slightly redesigned by W.J. Mouat teacher, Ms. Kiersten Bisgaard, and polished by vinyl graphics teacher, Mr. Dave Liversidge.
Shanyn Koe (grad 1994) of B.M.R Mfg. Inc. added the red colour for us. Thank you to B.M.R. Mfg. Inc. for donating banners, bumper stickers, signs, and decals for the Golden Jubilee.
