Spotlight on Learning: Vinyl Graphics 12
Vinyl Graphics 12 class had some hands on experience with Reaper Customs owner and WJM Grad, Nimmar Maharu. Students were involved in measuring, cutting, and wrapping sections of a Volkswagen Beetle. Heat was applied to help soften the material and allow it to better conform to the shape of the car.
For several students this was an opportunity to see how the industry does vehicle wrapping and a bit of an eye opener as it is more difficult than they thought. One current student at the wrapping workshop has moved on to work for Reaper Customs as a result.
Nimmar is a WJM 2019 Graduate that is the owner of Reaper Customs. He started the company while in high school and now has over 12 employees. He works on a lot of high-end vehicles doing wraps, tinting, ceramic coating etc.
