Devious Licks

A recent topic trending among children and teens on TikTok is called “Devious Licks” where students steal objects and show off what they’ve taken in their own social media posts. Unfortunately, this trend has made its way into some of our schools. We have received reports of multiple schools with stolen items and vandalism that mimics the popular TikTok trend.

As a strong, tightknit community, we ask that our families speak to their children about social media, current trends taking place, and how these temporary fads can ultimately impact their future. We want nothing more than our students and staff to take pride in their campuses and respect the property.

Grad Cruise

Grade 12’s we are excited to have some of our grad activities returning.  To take advantage of warmer fall weather, we have planned Grad Cruise for either September 28 or October 5.  We must meet both the Ministry of Education requirements so masks are required except for dinner time AND the Ministry of Health requirements for the hospitality industry so boat capacity will be 50% and students must have their first dose / vaccine passport.  Tickets are available on SchoolCashOnline.  We are planning several school-based events which do not require meeting the Ministry of Health orders.  Stay tuned.

Meet the Teacher Night Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 6-7:30

This week was a busy full week start to the athletic calendar with Girls Volleyball City Classic featuring many of the local high schools in action for the first time in 18months and both Junior and Senior Football featuring home games against Sardis.  Next week opens with Cross Country action.  It was a pleasure to watch the excitement of fans and athletes as school sports return.
