Students and staff across the Abbotsford School District united to show their commitment to truth and reconciliation as they actively engaged in educational initiatives and professional learning sessions last week to honour Indigenous peoples.

She graduated from the French immersion program in Abbotsford, and now Madison Hendry has returned to the same school district to teach in French. Canadian Parents for French (CPF) BC & Yukon is pleased to recognize the grade 8 Chief Dan George Middle School educator with its 2023 Teacher Award.

Since 1992, CPF BC & Yukon has been proud to offer a financial award of $2,000 to one or two university students completing their post-secondary education studies and planning to teach French (immersion, intensive, core, or francophone) in BC or Yukon.
